Kyunghee Yang

Director of Quantitative Systems Pharmacology (QSP) in Clinical Pharmacology Modeling & Simulation Oncology GSK

Dr. Kyunghee Yang is Director of Quantitative Systems Pharmacology (QSP) in Clinical Pharmacology Modeling & Simulation Oncology at GSK, where she leads the application of mechanistic modeling to support drug discovery and development across oncology programs. With more than 11 years of experience in model-informed drug development, she has extensive expertise in QSP, quantitative systems toxicology (QST), physiologically based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) modeling, and translational pharmacology. Prior to joining GSK, Dr. Yang held scientific and leadership roles at Simulations Plus, where she guided modeling strategies for both small molecules and biologics, led scientific teams, and directed industry collaborations focused on advancing mechanistic modeling approaches. Her work has contributed to regulatory submissions, clinical development decisions, and the advancement of QSP/QST methodologies through numerous publications and precompetitive collaborations. Dr. Yang received her Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, an M.S. in Pharmacokinetics, and a B.S. in Pharmacy from Seoul National University.
